January 24th: Camping in Kaitoki
Very exciting day today, we're off for my first camping outdoors. We're going to visit some friends who are camping in Kaitoki. It was 28C today, and to escape the heat for a while we went for a dip in the river.... very refreshing as the NZ rivers are always chillie. I got to sleep in a tent under the stars (in my Pooh Bear bed), although I didn't leave a lot of space for Dad to sleep in the 2 man hiking tent. In the morning we went for a walk and then relaxed for a while by the river again.
